Swimming is a fascinating sport that engages both athletes, in the pool trying to overcome their opponents and the clock, and the spectators. For 37 years running, the Ljubljana Swimming Club has offered a high-level technical and competitive event in Kodeljevo swimming pool, thanks to the passion, perseverance and competence of the organizers. The Ljubljana City Cup is unique, spectacular event and really liked by all involved. Those who compete in water and those who cheer from the stands. Over the years the event has grown in the number of participants as well as their quality. The 36th edition hosted about 650 swimmers from 9 different countries and 45 clubs. Numbers prove both, quality and quantity.

Swimming in Ljubljana involves participation in a major sporting event that attracts world champions, as well as young swimmers. All pledged to cut their times, to break records and significant sporting achievements. And who knows how many records and personal limits will be lowered at the 2012 edition of the Meeting.
